Delete your account

You can permanently delete your Plixico account at any time. There are two ways to do it.

1. Delete it yourself, in the app

1. Open Plixico and go to Profile (the avatar in the top-right).
2. Scroll to Delete account.
3. Tap Delete my account and confirm.

You can go straight there: plixico.com/dashboard/profile. Deletion takes effect immediately.

2. Ask us to delete it

Email support@plixico.com from the address or phone number on your account with the subject “Delete my account”. We verify ownership and complete the deletion within 30 days, usually far sooner.

What gets deleted

Deleted immediately and permanently:

• Your name, email address, phone number, profile photo and bio
• Your saved hostels, items and services
• Your roommate preferences and any identity-verification details
• All active sessions — you are signed out on every device

What we have to keep

Booking, payment and refund records are retained in anonymised form (no longer linked to your name or contact details) for up to 8 years, because Indian tax and accounting law requires us to keep transaction records. Reviews you wrote stay published but are shown as written by a deleted user.

Before you can delete

For your protection, deletion is blocked while your account still has something outstanding:

• An active or confirmed hostel booking — check out or cancel it first
• A payout still being held in escrow — wait for it to be released
• A live hostel listing, if you're an owner — archive it first
